In honour of the sixth annual World Gin Day, we thought we would combine two of our favourite loves (three, in fact, if you include ice cream!) and create some beautiful cocktail and lingerie pairings for you to enjoy.
To make, shake 2 ounces gin and 2 teaspoons dry vermouth with crushed ice; strain into a stemmed glass. Strip leaves from bottom 2 inches of a rosemary sprig, skewer through pitted olives, and add to the drink. (Recipe source: marthastewart.com)
To make, combine 1 oz Crème de Violette, 1 oz Gin (they recommend Bluecoat), 1 oz Vodka (they recommend Belvedere) ¼ oz Domaine de Canton, ¼ oz St. Germaine (elderflower liqueur) 1 dash Scrappy's Lavender Bitters in a cocktail shaker with ice, shake and serve in a martini glass with a sprig of fresh lavender to garnish. Lastly, once you've had enough cocktails (if there is such a thing?) here's something a little different to try - rhubarb and gin sorbet with rose cream, by Apt 2b Baking. We think it would be just perfect with our Eleanor Mink collection, with the rose cream and deep rhubarb shades echoing the mink silk and ivory lace just right. Head on over to their beautifully curated site for the recipe.
